Started with a PB at Penrith park run. which I wasn’t expecting as I was running on Sunday and so wasn’t going to push myself. Started the run feeling good and just latched onto one of my team mates and just ran steady and was surprised to finish 8 secs faster than my previous PB. On the back of this I felt confident going to run the Derwantwater 10 . My fastest time being 67.30 mins back in 2007 but that was on the old course which wasn’t as tough. The new course is a lot hillier and a little longer . I felt good all the way round ,the scenery was stunning and the weather was perfect. I crossed the line in 66.56 very chuffed.
Spent the morning visiting the factory and meeting the team who make all the lovely traybakes.
